The Enchanting Arcano-Griffon

While wild griffons are mighty beasts in their own right, the wild magic-infused Arcano-Griffon is among the fiercest predators known to man. Often the product of arcane infusion from a talented wizard or powerful sorcerer, Arcano-Griffons have been spotted in the wilds, most commonly in places such as the feywild, where wild magics are left untamed to mutate the local wildlife. The discerning adventurer can identify one by noting their bright blue and purple plumage alongside irisless white eyes. For their magical properties, wild Arcano-Griffons are revered, their feathers often being used in power spellcasting implements or potions of flying. However, taming one is nearly impossible without magical domination, seeing them often killed for their components rather than reared.

Armed with beak, claw, and the ferocious appetite of their standard cousins, the Arcano-Griffon melds magic into its talons and beak, making for arcane-infused strikes. What's more, these beasts have an innate enchantment on their bodies, similar to mage armor, which makes their hides nearly impenetrable and grants them immunity to the magic missile spell. Finally, thanks to their magical nature, they can use their mighty wings to summon howling gusts of wind, manifesting as vicious tornadoes when beaten by the most ancient of their breed.
