Muricia, The First Sovereign

Gifted life from a God of Death, Muricia was created for one purpose. As a queen bee might be to a hive, she was destined to rule over her fungal children and proliferate as an unliving yet undying personification of nature. A guardian of the natural order, Muricia and the Myconid children she spawned from her spores existed to feed on death and tend to the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. Within her gardens, flowers bloomed, and bodies decayed in her quest to balance life with death. Over an eon, she spread her life essence throughout the whole of the multiverse, ensuring that detritivores spawned in every biome and evolved into the fungi and other plantlike beings which feed upon rotting corpses. It is to her the carrion crows screech as their master. It is to Muricia, the Sovereign, that the feasting flies worship. It is to their Demi-Goddess of rot the trees and living fear as they fall to the earth in their final moments.
